Jason is a fantastic driving instructor. From the start he was very welcoming and extremely patient. I progressed very quickly with his help and I would more than happily recommend him as a very professional, knowledgeable and friendly instructor. I am now very confident about driving and I am over the moon at having passed my test. Many thanks, Gary
“Really enjoyed learning”
I remember the first time I sat in a car with Jason ..... it was great he made me feel very comfortable and was very re-
Jason was my 2nd driving instructor and the progress I made with him was far more noticeable with each lesson. He put me at ease, methodically worked through my problems and had answers for every question. When it came to the test I felt I'd been very well equipped and lo and behold I passed first time with two minors, so that has to be a testament to his tuition! Dave
“very good and friendly”
Just had my test today, Steve as ever took me out and made me feel totally relaxed (as much as I could have been). It’s been a great few months learning to drive, I have always been made to feel confident and I will miss our hour catch ups from now on -

When can I start driving?
The minimum age to take driving lessons in a car in the UK is 17, or age 16 if you are currently getting Disability Living Allowance at the higher rate (mobility component).
Before you can start taking driving lessons you must apply for a provisional licence, you can do this 2 months before your 17th birthday, however you can NOT drive until your 17th birthday. There are currently NO plans to increase the driving age to 18.
To apply for your provisional licence, and obtain further details, visit the DVLA website at www.dvla.gov.uk or obtain form D1 from the Post Office, better still ask us to order you one FREE by leaving your name and full postal address!
You can start taking driving lessons once you have received your provisional licence, and reached the age of 17, but before you can take your practical test, you must pass both parts of the theory test.
You will be you'll be asked 50 questions in 57 minutes and the pass mark is 43 out of 50, followed by a test of your hazard perception skills, in which you need to score a minimum of 44 out of 75. You will need to pass both parts of the theory test at the same sitting to obtain your theory test pass certificate.
If you are ready you can book your theory test at the official site, be careful not to use an unapproved site which may charge you more then necessary. All our students get free access to Theory Test Pro -
The test lasts about 40 minutes, during which your examiner will want you to drive safely and competently in various road and traffic conditions. You will be given directions and asked to carry out set exercises, which will include one of the following; reversing around a corner, turning in the road & reverse parking. You may also be asked to carry out an emergency stop. Additionally, you will also be asked to drive independently for about 10 minutes, using a set of directions or by following road signs. Apart from general driving, your test will also include an eyesight test, for which you will be required to read a car registration plate from 22.5 metres.
We are able to ensure that you are fully prepared for your test, and although this will not guarantee a pass, our pupils have an excellent pass rate, but it is important that you drive as you have been driving on your driving lessons.
